We gave our latest bed design some serious consideration, about 12 months worth actually. Design is an important aspect to our beds - beyond the solid functionality of our products. We strive for a design that endures long beyond the latest trends. And this time around, we wanted to introduce more circular references, aka Rings, into the overall look of the bed.

In a more unusual approach, we also considered names as we were considering the headboard and footboard design elements. But after a lot of back and forth, voilà, the Ringold Alley Bed was born...and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

  • Sold individually or as a set of 1" thick round solid plain bars
  • Each bar comes with removable caps for easy install and removal.
  • NOTE: these bars are grab bars during play and are not considered chin-up bars. Individual bars, while strong, are not designed to support the full weight of a person for extended periods of time. Use for extended weight support could cause the bars to bow over time. They can be used collectively to distribute the weight when supporting a sleep-sack or other suspension equipment.

Our platform frame is constructed as most mattress-only style bed platform, for those not wishing to use a standard box spring on their bed.

We simply raise the lower bed rails to a height where a mattress would normally meet a box spring, and add additional bed slats to close the gaps a bit more. NOTE: we do, however, recommend a rigid base, low profile (2-3") boxspring, or bunkie board underneath to protect the mattress and prevent the sagging of the mattress between the slats - to avoid slat movement and potential noise. We recommend searching Amazon.com for bunkie boards based on the size of the bed you're ordering - sold separately and not included. It provides a modified bed rail height of 15" from floor, which subsequently provides 12" of height under the bed rails. Adjustments to these heights can be requested (higher or lower), but bear in mind the effect this might have on the foot board pattern, and your potential use of a sling at the foot of the bed. • Can be added to any bed style and any bed size
  • Adds a top rail to the top of the footboard to essentially create a complete cube. The standard design of our four-post beds (except the Naked Bed) leaves this portion of the footboard open so it is NOT a complete cube.

  • Can be added to any bed style and any bed size in any locations desired (ask if you would like to know of common placements by other customers).
  • Requires instructing us, during the checkout process in the notes field, the general location for the D-Rings. After purchase, we will email a PDF with recommended locations and with a request to confirm your desired location(s).

Adds a cage under the main platform of your bed. Please allow 2 additional weeks lead time (in addition to our standard lead times) for the addition of a cage to the build of your frame. (Learn more)

Adjusts the build of your bed to ship in smaller pieces. Follow the link to learn more if you think you might have difficulty getting the pieces of this frame into your home. Please also allow 2 additional weeks lead time (in addition to our standard lead times) for the completion of any de-constructed bed frame. (Learn more)

This option is for customers looking to add a permanent center suspension rail across the bed positioned 60" inward from the footboard (rail sits left to right), for either additional restraint points, or to support the use of a sling from the side of their bed. We push the rail out 60" (off-center) from the footboard so this strong supportive rail can hold the right extender bar in place from the side of the bed.

NOTE: to use this option with the sling extender bars from the side of the bed, your bed will require the footboard top rail option as well. We can also move this bar center or to other distances if you prefer...simply add a note during checkout with the desired location.

If I could give more Stars I would

We could NOT be happier with our bed! Worth the wait, no doubt, would order again. The communication was fantastic, we got finish samples and so thankful we did because we changed our pick. The quality can’t be matched from anybody. The bed is so strong for play and the locked storage under the bed is great. Keeping littles out from finding something they shouldn’t and having easy access is nice.

It’s incredible, really. Thank You, thank you, thank you DB
